Just returned from 4 days of camping and fishing at Matt Warner. The camping with the grandkids was great. The fishing was not very good. I think it was probably the worst ever for that lake. Three fishermen managed 5 fish and we saw maybe 2 or 3 fish caught by other fisherpersons. All fish were nice (16-18" and very fat) just very few of them. I think that Matt Warner winter killed a lot worse than the DWR indicated. We saw a pretty little bear strolling along the shoreline while out trolling one evening. I was probably a yearling.
