It's easy to tell where he went. The pic tells the whole story. I'm going there again this weekend. The last two weeks have been great. Yay, tomorrow is the weekend already.

That would be great if I were from this area. I am visiting and would like to catch some nice fish. I can't say I know where this is.

Dude... I only saw two pictures composed of a NICE pile of Gills. WTF do you mean the pictures tell the hole story? Only if you know the ONLY place to catch Gills of that size and in those numbers and you're not oblivious to the the OTHER places to do just as well. I'll take an extremely wild stab at Pelican if it ain't full of weeds and unfishable, but there's plenty others that would fit the bill, a couple of which are right here in Cache Valley where I live. If you can put him on some simple pan fish for this weekend, PM the guy and help him out for heck sakes.

[cool][#0000ff]99% sure that the fish came from Mantua Reservoir. That is up the hill from Brigham City, on the way to Logan. It is a small reservoir that is full of bluegill, perch and bass...and also kicks out some trout. You can fish it from shore in many places but you will do better if you have a small boat or a float tube and can fish in the holes between the heavy weed growth. Just drop down a small jig with a piece of worm or perch meat on it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Good luck.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Don't know why some folks have to be so vague or cutesy in their reports. They are usually the ones who demand to know all the pertinent facts when somebody else posts.[/#0000ff]

I think that I will take my grandson up to a secret little reservoir close to the town of Mantua in the morning.
I hope to get him into some of the Bluegill that are rumored to be there.
Look for a Yellow and White Tri Hull with BFT stickers on the windows, if you find this place.
I will also have a two way on channel 7-0.

I was not purposely being vague. It was just obvious so I figured it was easy for everyone to tell. TD's got right. Mantua it is. Look more closely at the pic. There are gills, but also a perch and a small largemouth tail is sticking out of the clump of gills. No need for much stabbing or guessing. Pelican doesn't have perch. There is only one water with that combo of species. Chill dude.

Such a tease [Wink] Sorry if I ruffled your feathers. Instead of
not purposely being vague
I'm sure any visitor to Northern Utah would appreciate a little help. You know, the guy that may not know Mantua even exists. They'll likely return the favor if you visit their turf some day.

You mean besides all those other waters with that combo of fish.

Utah Lake has perch, gills and bass. So do many others.
