not sure what your length and action are on the rod, but I know the eagle gt's are only ultralight and light. if that's the case you'll have a real nice rod for trout, crappie, other panfish, shallow walleye work and light bass work (low to no cover).

I wouldn't fish medium to heavy cover, catfish, pike, lake trout or anything similar with it, though. I bet smallies would be a blast with that rod whenever they're hanging in the flats, though, as long as it's light cover.

I have a similar outfit with the sedona reel. I use a med fast for my poppers, but as said you will have a challenge near weeds. Keep the line high.[cool]

Hi and welcome to Big Fish Tackle. Thanks for taking the time to register as well as giving up a good question.

It sounds like you have a very nice starter rod/reel for just about any type of light to medium light freshwater fishing.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Fishing reports are also nice and a picture of your catch will only add more points.[cool]

If you are fishing the lower lake or the Lagoon, you should do good with that set up for Largemouth Bass.

You will need a lighter setup for the Panfish.[cool]
