Little Salmon River: Closed July 1.
South Fork Salmon River: Summer Chinook were few the first week of the season but began showing up strongly just in time for the July 4th fishing crowd.

Cascade Lake: Smallmouth bass have been busy taking all kinds of offerings, even topwater gear. Perch fishing has been sporadic. Trout action should finally be taking off now.

Mountain Lakes: Lakes including Brundage and Goose lakes were recently blocked by snow but the Forest Service has been busy plowing; it might be wise to check on road conditions before committing to one certain place. Upper Payette is accessible but has not yet been planted.

Horsethief Reservoir: Horsethief has been the place to go in the area. Trout fishing has been excellent, and popular, this year.

Local ponds, family fishing waters: Ponds have been stocked and providing good trout fishing. Ponds include Rowland Pond, Fish Lake, Brown's and Cruzen Pond.
