Hit a skunk

My wife ran over a skunk on the way to work this morning. Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of the smell, I tried a car wash and wiping down with mr clean with febreeze. I still have a skunk smell inside and out. Thanks for any and all help I can recieve

i hit a skunk once on the way to work and 5 min later i hit a whole family of them 5 dead skunks in less then 5 min oh baby.

I have used diluted catsup to remove the smell. I have duluted it with both water and vinigar. Both will work in a spray bottle.

Several years ago, the DWR sold a chemical at their offices on North Temple that would remove the smell. I have not tried it, but reports from friends were good.

You might give them a call, and see if this solution is still available.

This is not Joke, the only thing that works is Messingeill or Summers Eve dousche, really. That is what the animal control people use whenever they get sprayed when they have to uthenize them.

some hunting scent killers sprays will kill it. scent killer is the best. kills smell by breaking down the mollicules. i beleive in it bigtime. bowhunting and gas on your self dont work to good. i sprayed my self good with hands included. instantley smell went away. bottom of car gets to be steam cleaned.

My wife and I own a small janitorial supply store called "The Cleaning Supplier" located in West Jordan on 90th south and 1300 west. We sell a product called "Liquid Alive". It is an enzyme producing bacteria that eats and digests odors. We use/sell it alot for animal odor problems. (dog/cat urine, vomit, fecal matter, mold & mildew odors etc.) it works very well.
