After enjoying my fishcat floattube for a couple of years, I want to get another tube so I can take others out fishing as well.
Would it be worth the extra cost to upgrade to a fat cat, or should I just stick with getting another fishcat?
thanks

Are you running the Deluxe or the Standard?
Do you find you need more storage space or feel like you'd like to float higher?
Basically, I think you're buying a few extra D-rings, more and more flexible storage, more weight capacity, and cachet for an extra $100 - $150.
I love my FC4 Dx and I don't think I'd pay more (for now) for the Fatties.

I prefer the standard, I like the foam seats.
Some that I take fishing are bigger and would do better in the fatcat mabye.

[cool][#0000ff]The only REAL way for you to KNOW whether or not you should go FAT is to kick around in one. I have done both the FC4 and SFC and to me it is really noticeable...the difference in size and floatation. On the Fat Cats you have a longer front extension on the air chambers (more front stablity and floatation), bigger pockets and you will sit slightly higher in the water. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]TubeBabe has always preferred the foam seats of the regular Fat Cat, while I have had the SFC. Other folks we have let borrow one or the other always say they are the biggest and best ride for the money. As with all craft, they require some tweaking to get the adjustments just right for your own personal preferences, but there IS a significant difference in the ride over an FC4...especially if you are over 6 feet and over 200 pounds.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Lots of good sales on eBay or on discount websites. Once you decide what you want, keep the browser going until you score a good deal. No need to pay full retail, unless you are concerned about after the sale service. In that case, Cabelas or Riverwire are two good sources.[/#0000ff]

Hmmm interesting. unfortunatly I cant test one out as I do not thint there is a single fatcat in the state.
I really dont need the bigger tube for my self, but was thinking it would be good to have one in case some of my bigger friends wanted to try out tubing.
I also like that they have the better urathane bladder so it will last longer.
what I dont like is the higher price though.
my fishcat works good, but doesnt hold air like it use to.
I have looked everywhere for leaks but find none, but it always is low by the time I quit fishing.
