Can one of the moderators resize my pics I'm sure they're to big.
My alarm went off at 2:45am and I thought to myself, what am I doing? Then I remembered the big Musky. So I made the drive from Utah County and had the lake to myself, caught the first one in the dark at 5:15 am couldn't get the flash to work on my stupid camera and I was afraid that might be the only Tiger all day and I would not have any proof........ Boy was I wrong.
This was my fourth trip to Pineview, second this year and I was hoping for even just one. I ended up landing 10 in the boat and losing three others !!!!! I couldn't believe it, at one point I caught 3 within 20 minutes. Smallest was 26" biggest was 32" (3 of them) and the others were 28". That last pic is of one bass that had bigger eyes than his stomach, that's a 10 inch Pikie next to him that I caught him on.
I caught them all trolling with a perch pattern baits.
Do you know how hard it is to land one of those fish by yourself? Pole in one hand net in the other then take pictures (luckily I planned ahead and brought my tripod), I was sweating and my right forearm was getting all cramped up.
The water is starting to drop now. I could not see a single sign anywhere that told people about the new catch and release all fish rule, I was mad so I called the DWR and they didn't seem to concerned, so more people that don't know will continue to kill off the population of Tigers, that's just great[mad]
All in all the best fishing day ever, and I thought Saturday at Strawberry with 50 fish was good, this was way better.
