Fun Morning At Mantua

Got on the water around 7:30 and boats were already piling in. First cast i caught a pretty good size perch, but then i wasted about an hour trying to locate good numbers of fish. Once i found a deep pocket in the weeds it really heated up. CCaught about 15 bluegill, 15 perch, and 5 LMB. I caught a really nice LMB that i thought i was gonna lose. I had 4 lb line and ultralight gear. He pulled out a ton of drag and i had to pull him out of the weeds twice. What a blast! The wind really picked up and there were lots of boaters so i left by 11:00. What a great time for my first visit to Mantua.

Fishing from a kayak? Good on ya. Good job on the bassie. Ain't that fun. Those are the best memories. Look for an old geezer in a tube with a golden swimming around out there and say howdy.
