If you mean me, been awful busy lately, but I will tell what I have done.
Last weekend went to Alturus camping and trolled with a friend in his boat and landed 12 12" planters on that Saturday.

Before that I just wasn't able to get out.

Last night, and maybe you can help here, I went to perch point at Milner and tried for cat fish till 2am, no catchin was done. I haven't had a succesfull cat fish outing yet, not sure if you go or not but I still am struggling in putting some cats in the freezer.

I am hoping for a trip to CJ to stock up on crappie next weekend

i haven't had luck with anything at milner, from the shore. i think most (all) of the decent fish are caught from boat. however, i have had great success night cat fishing at wilson. we usually light a bunch of pallets on fire near the water and they seem to be attracted to the light. was thinking about hitting big sand bay next weekend. are there places to fish from the shore? how is the road down there right now? need to know if i should take the f150, or the z28.

I haven't been down there for a month or more, but I know the water level has dropped so big sand bay will be bigger. I imagine the road might be rough because of the increase in trafic this summer, but thats a guess.
I would fish the south bank if I were bank fishing.

When you fish wilson where have you been going? I have only caught bullheads (yellow bellies) there and used worms. I have heard that up the canal by the spillway some cats hang out. I have only fished on the northwest side near where you can drive over to the east side.

yeah, i've only caught smaller bulls. i take the road off to the left, before you actually hit the parking lot. it follows the lake around to the west. there are several turn offs you can fish from. haven't tried near the canal. i also use worms.

i haven't tried fishing it during the day, as i don't like the obnoxious boaters/campers. but i'm curious as to what can be caught during the day. i hear there are perch and smb in there.
