I will make a quick report and then add a couple of pics later.
Steelfisher and I headed out to Ririe last night at about five in the afternoon. We were met by about fifty ski boats and the prospects for fishing did not look good. Luckily the ski boats were heading in while we were heading out.
We went uplake to look for the type of rip rap that the smallies like we got lucky right away and caught 11 smallmouth all but three of them were very small but the larger ones made things interesting and gave us hope. The bite only lasted a couple of hours but it was a great evening.
We caught all of our bass dropshotting a twister tail grub in pumkinseed with a chartruse tail or berkely christmas color.
Steelfisher also caught a perch that we did not measure but was over 10."
