Hit the old marina cove again today- On the water at 5am, day started with surface activity all over the cove. Fished X-rap shads, Rapala Skitter Pops, and Rebel Jumpin' Minnows. I caught over 30 fish today, 8 of them over 2 lbs. Most of the big fish were caught on the rebel jumpin' minnow. Nice calm day, busy for a Wednesday.

[cool]Hey Whizzle, I'm going to have to hit that up. I can't do the morning thing but may try it in the afternoon. Is it just a morning bite or is there activety at dusk? I like the surface bite but will crank down for deeper fish. I got some deep diving x-raps that should do the trick.

Well, I haven't been out for a dusk trip yet, but usually there is dusk action when there is morning action. The morning action has been dying by about 7ish. The stripers seem to be holding 15-40 feet deep when they stop hitting the surface, and are hanging out in the channel leading out of the cove. We marked alot of fish on the fish finder, but they didnt really seem to want the crankbaits. I need to bring my jigging gear next time out.
