FFW is full of bass and pike..... if ya got any 10" worms that would work .... watch out for all the stumps or maybe top water baits work great to ........but be ready to loose a few baits ..and drive slow lol where ya staying?

youd think after 30 years those stumps would desolve... [angelic]
Last time I was there I pulled up a 24 inch northern using a black jitterbug just after sunset while still light. that was nearly 30 years ago [crazy].... I caught it off a privet cabin dock on the west side of the lake. [signature]

I myself am not to fond of the spiderwire and fireline . crystal is just a little too stiff .
I use a good quality mono with all my fishing but if you need something a little stronger the yo-zuri hybred line in my opinion is about the best line to use . [signature]

Im not to fond of fire line but to each his own ..the problem with that kinda line is if you get a snag ...you end up brakin the line off close to your pole ......the stuff dont brake at the lure or hook ..... so you end up leavin line in the water for motors to get hooked on....... but be ready to hook some nice LM bass ........ theres fish all over that lake...I been fishing it for years. when ya gonna be up there at FFW? maybe I could come up 1 day and fish.... are you stayin at Jacks or maybe Browns? we stayed at browns a few years ago for a bass contest ..great people not to bad of a place ...

Man I miss FFW-used to fish it back in the late 80's. I have been staying close to home with the gas prices this year and have hit some big pike in the area lakes a couple monsters that we couldn't get in the boat (ones that got away) and a few 36 inchers with pics. I love the braid-and even the larger ones haven't cut through it. The heavier spiderwire does not play well with open face reels though. I have fireline, spiderwire, and pro something. The fireline has the least amount of snarls, but has a weird shread tendency. Try Large jointed Rapala's-my favorite is spinners with feather tails!

where you see that dotted line end, you head south till you see that little nook of a cove on the left, that is where I picked up the pike, about one hundered yards north of the road that comes down off the steep hill.
what the hey, just fish around the docks in that area and a man should be able to pick up a few bass and pike.... [signature]
