how do i work a rapala origanal floating minnow

i have a couple of them but do i use them as a crank bait thank for any help

Would work fine as a crankbait...also, give it a little twitch from time to time...even float it, crank, twitch, float, crank, twitch, etc...

I usually work them quickly, a steady retreive with some jerks and pauses. I think location is more critical than presentation in most cases. They only seem to work for me in shallow areas near shore.
