The wife and I will be at Bullfrog Saturday-Tuesday. According to wayneswords.com check Moki in the a.m. for boils. Keep your eye open for my yellow SeaRay named "Beer runner" give us a hollar and we'll compare notes and try to slay some stripers.

My wife and I were at Bullfrog early last week and had a ball. The waters much higher than past years making it a completely different place. The known fishing hole are long gone with new obstacle to watch out for. The first day we fished south, Halls, Lake Canyon, Slickrock, etc picking up only a few strippers trolling. Lots of smallmouth in 20 to 30 of water up against the rock points. But not what we were looking for. The second day we went north and it began. Spotty boils started between Cedar Canyon and Good Hope bay, took a little effort to get on them as they would not stay up long. We threw 3/4oz spoons and always picked a few each time. Once we hit the Horn the Boils were regular and we just chased them around. Rigging one pole each with a white colored top water lure and another with a Kastmaster we would run up on the boils, hit them with the top waters till they went down then go at them with the kastmaster. The action was fast and furious with only enough time in between to clean up the boat and a cooling dip. We ended up with several coolers full of 2 to 2 1/2lb strippers, all were healthy and put up a great fight on medium weight tackle. I'm sure theirr working there way south, but for now head north. There was lots of places to camp with the high water, you should have a great time.
