Archery, opening morning big buck
#1
Not me [Wink], where is the big buck? I've been waiting to hear a story and see some pics of some bruisers in velvet. Heck, let's hear about anything! What gives?
My friends son got this one.

I got out on the opener and saw a few nice bucks, but couldn't close the distance.

Here are a few nice Bucks taken on the Book Cliffs a couple days ago. Got the pics off of MM if anyone wants to read the story.

A guy shot this big bull up on the South Cache unit a few days ago. He stripped all the velvet off too!!![frown]

It's a crime to strip the velvet off of something so beautiful! Dang nice bull though.

I'm not 100% sure, but I hear to qualify for Pope and Young it has to be scored, velvet stripped.[frown]

I would rather have that velvet beast on my wall. Strange what people will do for a "number".

I think that bull only scored around 350 anyway. What's the min score for P&Y?

That's Jay... from what I understand his bull was just over 330 green. The pic gives him that 20 inches with him sitting 4 feet back[Wink] It's a way nice bull though...it's a great story too. Someday i'll get that tag haha!

The velvet was so perfect on the bull i heard he decided not to bother preserving it and he's doing that spray-on velvet. I think that stuff looks awful but oh well! I'm with you guys...leave the velvet!

I beleive that minimun score for P&Y is like 260-70.
