urethane innertube for a fishmaster?
#1
Is there a urethane innertube that I could put inside my fishmaster to replace the rubber truck tire tube? Would a urethane innertube give me more strength and durability than a truck tube?

[cool][#0000ff]There are several suppliers of float tubing accessories that sell round replacement tubes, but to the best of my knowledge they are all vinyl...not urethane. Even so they are costly...about $40. They are much lighter than the original butyl rubber inner tubes, but not nearly as tough...against fish spines, etc. I doubt that urethane would really be an improvement in toughness...just in weight.[/#0000ff]

I think Bucks Bags do a round urethane bladder for
about $80.

But if you are using a truck tube, that is very tough too. Just a lot heavier than urethane, and of course it has a shorter life.

[cool][#0000ff]Right you are. It took a bit of searching, but I did find a listing for a urethane replacement bladder...for $84. It says that it was added to their line in May of 2008.[/#0000ff]
