Started my fishing week with fly fishing logan river. One beautiful trout to my net this morning, pretty tasty on the grill. I'll share pic's later after all my outings.
I hope to hit willard, mantua, east canyon, lost creek, rockport, and back to bear lake but who knows.... weather, work, and family may change all of my plans.
I have 8 days to fish and nothing set in stone as for plans.
Wish me luck!

This weather is making it a little difficult for you to work on your fishing frenzy. I hope it changes to the better for you.

Well, I did fish the marina at Bear Lake in the morning on Sunday. Windy but had fun with the carp and suckers...
Spent today back in Roy doing laundry and organizing my tackle boxes.
The toon and gear are loaded up and ready for water tommorow morning, just not sure where yet.

Fished Mantua today for 10 hours.
100+ perch, many bluegill and crappie (my mistake they were blue gills only), and a couple small mouth bass.
Fished from the toon till lunch time then banked fished with a worm and bobber until I was out of bait and dead tired of reeling in minature perch.
Fun day and much needed, brought home 6 nice size perch for my dinner.
Tommorows plan is yet to be decided but I will be going somewhere as long as my back holds out.

Fished Willard first thing this morning........nothing to report other than it is a muddy shallow mess. Man I hope the dike repairs get done soon.
Bagged willard at lunch and went back to mantua. Caught a bunch of small perch again. Nothing fancy, just shore fishing with worm and bobber again.
Lost interest in that quickly so I decided to head home to clean off the "Willard" mess from my toon and start packing up for Bear Lake...........
Let's hope the cooler temps and the end of the summer holidays will now allow a person to fish bear lake without getting run off by the recreational boaters????

Sounds like you have the perch thing down, are you giving up on trying Lost creek, East canyon and Rock port?

Bear lake sounds like a good choice with the cooling temp. I'll be looking forward to your report.

Well I am near the end of my fish frenzy and to say the least it has been fun! I enjoyed hitting the local waters and a stream as well as my favorite body of water.
My back is now toast (5 disks Herniated) but I managed what I could.
I enjoyed all my outings and hope for many more. I plan to have a nice meal X 2 while I am at my place at Bear Lake and probably will push down a toddy or two.
Thanks for reading my reports and hopefully you all will have a week in your schedules to do whatever you want!
Q OUT!
