Here's some sweet bucks up on Hill Fields property. I'm not sure if these are from this year or not.
Anybody ever drawn that HAFB hunting permit???

Hey HB,
These are actually the Backus west bucks, there on the Hercules land on the west side of salt lake, the big red and white tower in the background of one of the pics gives the location away.I worked out there in the 80's and there are some bruisers out there including some giant bulls,I would go up and sit on a point every morning and watch them filter back up a revein to the bench area of the moutains. The deer usally stay down where these pictures where taken.
nice bucks.

Thanks! Good to know.
I got the pics in an email, and it said they were on HAFB land. Those emails get screwed up a lot, I got one the other day of a Yukon moose shot in North Ogden [crazy]

There are a few bucks here on HAFB but none like that. Hard to draw a permit, preference usually goes to active duty who apply but not always. I think you have to be a Gov't employee but not sure.

I've been on bacchus twice a week for the last month. More bucks keep showing up. I see the smaller bucks headed back up in the morning but the bigguns I see bedded down in the afternoon but when they start to move around at dusk it's amazing. It's nice to see a typical 20"+ 3-point as a silhouette. I wish I had a nice camera to take some photos.

I've never heard of this place. Is it owned by a business or private. I'm just curious what you mean by "Hercules land". I did a google search and it returned nothing. Kind of reminds me of a coal mine my dad works at in Wyoming. There are big bucks that hang out there on the property once hunting season starts.

I think Bacus is 8400 W. and between 4000 S. and 5400 S.Like the post above go out early in the morning or at dusk and you will see some of these great animals, there easier to spot after the first snow fall.
