WASATCH HUNTING

I would like to start scouting and hunt the wasatch for deer and elk. Does any body have any info in good access points to start at? I have an archery tag for deer and not picky just want some meat.I live in the salt lake valley so any where from farmington to salt lake would help. Thanks for any info.

You're talking about the Extended Archery right?
Farmington Canyon up to Skyline trail and over to Bountiful are always popular spots once the rifle hunters are done and have been out of there for a while.
For elk I'm not really sure. There are very few in that area. There are some that dump over to the front side when we get some snow, but not many.

If it's meat you are looking for, you can shoot a doe up there pretty easy. As soon as it snows, the deer stick out like sore thumbs and you can put a stalk together fairly easy. The road from bountiful goes up behind the "B" and connects to skyline. I would go up there and look around.
