The Mrs. and I went over to the property today and retrived 2 of the cameras and got the card out of the 3rd cam.
The 2 cams had zip on them , placed them on a good trail too .
The 3rd. cam had 30 pics on it , all bushey tails !
I bet that squirlle on the left side of the pics saw stars for a couple minutes , lol !

I am no expert, but if you have an electronic eye going 24/7 for about 7 days and you dont pick up a critter it must be time to move it over a bit.

on the other hand, every thing we know about a deer changes after opening morning of gun season [Image: bobwink.gif]

Nice gobblers !

Now are you going to make anything from the feathers ? I used to fan the tailfeathers out for a display but I was kinda wondering if that junior hunter was going to get a headress for helping out with the hunt ?

Some of those breast feathers will make great flys for the spring sucker run .

got a chuckle out of that one my self...

I wonder if he heard my singing over the weekend while I was in the woods...

Great big gobs of gooey grimey gopher guts
Chopped up monkey meat
Mutilated gopher feets.
Frinche Fryed eye balls floating in a pool of blood,
And I forgot my spooon......[:p]

still havent had time to write the article, I might get around to it this week... that is if I dont go fishing.. LOL...

thanks for the kudo's

I kept all the fethers from mine, saved the wing and tail feathers of the sis's

I found the verry end fethers on the tips of the wings most difficult to take off. like they are super glued in place...

I kept the head and was thinking of doing a boiled head mount. kind a like the eurepiean deer mounts.

if ya need a couple feathers let me know and I will send ya a few...

the little guy is going to get a head dress for turkey day for sure,,, on another one of "Its Mikey Day" lol..... he sure gets a lot of them... lol...

I will have to run down to Jo-Ann's to see what kind of materials I can find... and some elastic banding...

As you can see it's too late to be out there hunting at these hours .
That is the first deer since the bow opener that has show up .
There's no bait out but this is where the ol' salt lick used to be , I removed it when the ban started .

Hold off on that shirt......

Remember when I told you I did graphic design? Well.... that pic is out near one of the blinds but the deer is a fake. That's right I photoshop'd in the monster buck. Didn't really think you guys would think it was real. Did it as a joke but I guess I do good work when it comes to photoshop and I fooled ya all. [Smile]

My wifey says you guys are going to hate me now.-- but I know better. [Wink]

The only thing that I have to show from the camera is a couple of wild cats that have walked past. [frown]

Hopefully something will show up pretty soon. The trails are really starting to show up now that the grass isn't growing as fast anymore.

All of the beans have been harvested and bout 50% of the corn. A lot of the farmers in the area have been taking out their crops so we should have a lot more deer on the move real soon.

None of us bow hunt, we're strickly gun hunters over here. So that means another month fishing before the hunt begins.

GOOD JOB!
That photo had me fooled [blush] !
I can't put the waders on so i've resolved that the only place i'm able to hit is the footesite dam .
There in there and fresh too .
If you find yourself headed in that direction drop me a line and i'll head over .
