Attack of the Phrag!
#1
Had a nice opening day of the might duck hunt yesterday. Went out to Howard's Slough and shot a bunch of shells. Should have brought home a limit of birds, but the Phragmites is really getting bad out there. You cannot get very far in that crap! I'm sore as heck for trying to crawl, crash, trudge, fall, swim, and choke through that mess. Most of if is nearly impossible to get into. I couldn't get to some of the birds I downed because of it. I hope they burn it next year, or that we get a really wet winter and the lake floods it out. It's really a bad problem. We ended up with a goose out of the deal as well. The rain didn't help as much as I thought it would, but it was still a nice day to be in the marsh. I'm glad I wasn't up on the hill trying to chase some elk.

I got the prop back today. Installed tonight with the cure time up Wednesday night. Probably going for a test run Thursday morning. Hunting Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. You comin? Steven will be with me, but unless you got fat in the last 3 months, we should be allright.
