I have stayed at Mack's Inn. The cabins. Great heaters!
New owners and new cabins, but also a new price. They are almost double the price now. I am guessing starting at $70. a night.
It is an anniversary so that is special, the Mack's Inn Cafe has excellent food also, plus the river is right there for a little evening fishing.

Have you thought about West Yellowstone? Whenever we head over to Henry's, my wife always appreciates staying there, with it's shopping, variety of restaurants, nice lodging, etc. Also, the price of lodging has dropped significantly, due to off-season. When you have a wife that wants to spend her anniversary fishing, you have got to treat 'em good!!! Mike

I agree with the West Yellowstone idea. I can usually pick something up in the $60 range in the off season.
Macks Inn is also good I stayed there a couple of years ago.
I can't remember the name of the motel next to subway in Island Park. I stayed there on a snowmobile a few years ago it was ok.

I would go with what flygoddess said or do West Yellowstone. Super cheap in the off season.
If you want a REALLY nice place that is fairly cheap in the off season stay at Hibernation Station in West. DELUXE rooms. I'm sure your wife would love it there.

The motel next to the Subway is Satelle Resort . It is six miles to Henry's Lake from there . It is right across the highway from Island Park Village and they have good food . Curt G.

While we were camped at the State Park on the South side of the lake, I noticed that they have a few small cabins right there on the lake. I don't know anything about price or availability, but you would have immediate access to the lake.

I am glad you reminded me of the Hibernation/station---- one of my buddies cousins built that- though he has never gone up and stayed there , he has gone on horse/pack trips with them into Yellowstone. All your suggestions were great - Thank you- I will call on each option.

I emailed you about my condo. I normally get $250 per night but was ready to give you a heck of a deal since it was your anniversary and I won't be using it. www.IslandParkCondo.com Not interested? I didn't receive a reply and I was just trying to help.

We stayed at the Sawtell cabins which is by the Subway and across the street from the Island Park Village. The cabins were very nice and included a hot tub. It is about 6 miles from Henry's Lake. We also rented a boat from Wild Rose Ranch.

This was a couple of weeks ago and the weather was real bad. We managed to catch a couple nice fish in-between showers. It was a lot of fun in spite of the weather. We will definetly return.
Here is a pic of the biggest fish and another of my son and his buddy who we took along for the weekend.
