Partner to go duck hunting with
#1
I have purchased a great lab and would like to get back into duck hunting again. I would love to hook up with someone who would be willing to take a dog and myself and show us the ropes. Would love to help out with any extra expenses.

PM me if able to help

thanks

Kaysville, and I do not take to the field on sunday's either. I have finally purchased a truck, dog (lab, profess. trained) and wanted to get back in the Saddle again. But I would like to see how it has changed since the last time 30 years ago.

I see, I live in Salt lake and hunt to the north most of the time,I will give you a holler when I am solo and heading your way,The dog is a bonus but not a necessity in most the places I hunt, but You can bring him along if you want.I hunt out of small boats not your typical 16-18 foot flat bottom with big surface drives, but I hunt good area's they can't get to,so if this sounds like fun let me know in a PM.also allot has changed since then, allot better equipment to keep you warm.and the sky busters shoot at even higher birds then back then.LOL.

When I drove past nine mile res. on Friday there were literally thousands of them in the water. From far out I thought the reservoir was really low and that the ducks were the bottom. That is how packed in they were. A shot in the dark could have tanked 5-10 ducks, but since it only drew on lookers and no one was shooting, I assume it wasn't safe to hunt them so close to civilization. I'm not a hunter myself so I wouldn't know.

It's just a little south of Manti right along the edge of Highway 89. There was a few guys watching them with their binoculars, but didn't see any hunters. Not sure if that means there is no shooting permitted in that area (wouldn't surprise me), you would have have to check into that.

You can hunt it,but not much cover,a open water layout would be ideal for that lake!
