Glendale and the Narrows 10-16-08
#1
Went to Glendale first, got there about 11 am, and only caught 1 med. perch, looking for LM. Don't have any idea what the problem was. Res. very low, finned back to shore in my tube with the Sparkinator and headed to the Narrows. Got to my spot about 3:30 and noticed the water up a wee bit. Tried to fish "my hole" but couldn't see the holes in all the floating weeds because the sun was down enough to put everything in shadows. [unimpressed] Ended up with 2 nice smallies and a couple lost, all caught at the edge of the sun line. Anyone else notice them not bitting in the shaded areas? [shocked] Not all was bad, Sparky had fun and it was a lot better than watching the market and political stuff on TV.[Wink]

Have you ever tried ice fishing at Glendale? My son and I have really enjoyed catching LM this summer and we are hoping we can catch some bluegill and perch through the ice.

I just haven't gotten into hard water fishun. During the winter I fish the Weber and duck hunt with the Sparkinator.

[indent]I've ice fished Glendale a fair amount. It can be great for perch if you find them. I've also caught some decent rainbows and decent bass through the ice. One bad thing about glendale is the slush monster is usually horrible. The edges can be a mess also. PM me when you are heading up and I'll give you a few ideas on where to drill.

Quite a few smallies between Riverdale and the canyon mouth. You basically have to float it - though there a few spots on the old road that hold some that you can fish.
