Grand Island, New York - Koppers Fishing and Tackle Corp, manufacturers of the anatomically correct LIVETARGET crankbait series, has selected Innovative Outdoorsman Marketing to lead their promotional efforts throughout North America and selected overseas markets.
"As a new entrant to the highly competitive crankbait market, we reviewed several marketing and PR groups in an effort to find that elusive combination of industry access, market understanding, and appreciation for crankbait fishing that we were looking for," said Grant Koppers, President and CEO of Koppers Fishing and Tackle. "Our LIVETARGET series represents an evolutionary step in the way crankbaits are designed and painted, so it was essential that our choice had to include that appreciation and passion for the art of crankbait fishing. Koppers went on to say "The Koppers' LIVETARGET series takes hardbodied lures to a whole new level with the application of fly-tying principles to the development of a crankbait. Although there have been other attempts to make realistic-looking Shad, Crawfish, Shiner, and Perch crankbaits, we feel that we've succeeded by going right back to the beginning, designing a unique fuselage for each and every species that we have or will bring to market in the future. You won't see a LIVETARGET Perch paint pattern on a LIVETARGET Shad body. After the unique fuselage shape we added 'flashpoints' on the lure where light reflects off the raised fins and indented lateral lines. In nature, fish reflect light from different spots on their body, instead of the flat surface that most crankbaits offer. From there we developed a unique multi-layered paint process that we believe provides the most visually correct crankbait on the market today."
