Jigstick- A jigstick was previously a 9 to 91/2 foot long, stiff rod used for long casts of heavy jigs and large baits. These sticks are becoming shorter now with changes in rod materials and performance. Presently an 8 foot length is what one will commonly see on open-party boats.
