Got a trolling question.

Im a kid that has money now and im hoping to get my dad something he wanted for his boat (triton 21x) for christmas. He saw something at a sports store and said he wanted one for his boat. It was a parachute that goes in the water behide the boat to help being able to troll. I need to know the general name of this product? Please i want to make it a good christmas to repay some of the ones hes givin me

it is a drift sock used to slow down the boat while drifting with the current or wind they come in different sizes make sure you get one big enough for the boat

Fyshrmn is right, it is called a drift sock and they slow your boat to a given trolling speed depending on throttle and wind/current. Most of the bigger sporting goods stores have them as well as a chart to figure out the right size for it's intended speed.[cool]
