Deer Dreek 5/18(walleye)
#1
We headed up to strawberry sunday. Got there around 11:00am. Caught a couple cutthroats and decided we were bored. When then headed down To Deer Creek. We launched at the south ramp and watched as they tried to extract a Ford Bronco from the bottom of the lake then went fishing. We ended up catching 12 walleye, 1 smallmouth , and 1 trout for the day. All walleye with the exception of one were caught on Rapala taildancers. We caught them casting, trolling, and caught one on a jigging rapala. They seemed to be spread out in the lake. Some were caught in Wallsburg arm, along the west shore and some up were the provo comes into the lake. All were caught in 10 to 15 feet of water. The 2 biggest were 24 inches.

Way to go, it sounds like the walleye catching is really picking up. What color taildancer were you using? WH2

the water is around 55 degrees in the main lake. Around 61 in the shallower areas.
