Pelican,Red Fleet,Steineker,Starvation,Jordenelle reports

Fished all these htis week end.

Pelican is 72 degrees and loaded with fish. Try the top water

Red Fleet was 59 to 62 degrees and the water is coming up and muddy but caught fish on cranks, spinners and plastics

Stienekers was 58 to 60 degrees and the wateris rising. Fishing there was a little slow but saw lots of bass crusing looking for beds.

Starvation was 58 degrees and the wind blew like hell so we left. We did graph a ton of fish on the bottom in 30 to 40 foot of water. Nice lake though.

Jordenelle is a balmy 48 degrees and the smallies are biting but a little slow. Windy

Had a great weekend

What topwater did you use Scooter? Was there any paticular place on Pelican that was better than another area? It sounds like a guy just needs to find reeds and start throwing. I hope I make it up there before it's over.

Scooter,

Great report! Very informative, was wondering about several you reported on. Will probably try Jordanelle this week. Thanks.

We were throwing poppers and torpedos right into the reeds. Had the most success out in the middle at the 3 islands of reeds that you'll see when you get on the water. We also cut off the lowest hook on the treble hooks so as not to snag any weeds or grass and foul the lures. It works great but you do miss a few strikes that way.
