I drove past it early on Wednesday this week and they where plowing Chicken Creek parking lot. It looked like the where plowing feet of snow there was a lot. As far as on the lake itself it was covered but didn't look like that much snow, wind must be blowing it off.

Went yesterday and today. Roads into the marina are fine. There isn't more than a few inches of snow, in the areas that the wind hasn't blown it away. The ice was around 8 inches thick. Snowmobiles were running on it both days.

Unfortunately, slow to non-existant. Yesterday, we got skunked, and out of 9 people only one fish. Today, only talked with 1 other guy and he had a couple, his buddies had gotten a couple also. Hit and miss at best in my eyes.

the key to catching fish at Strawberry is: follow MGB around.

I figured that the fishing gods skunked me personally for the last 3 days at Strawberry, to fullfil my need at the Burbot bash.

Sorry to give at least this bad news. Maybe someone out there had better luck in a different part of Strawberry. I didn't hear anything about CCE.

I think that you can have a great day up there. The biggest key is to get away from the crowds, don't be afraid to hike away from everyone. if you have a machine to take you far away even better.

Fished the BERRY yesterday with Mr Lip ripper. It was a very slow morning. Got skunked at Mud Creek to start the day. Moved over to the marina and the day got a bit better. Finished up the day with about 12 fish between the two of us.
The fish were all in the slot, and acted like typical Strawberry fish. Without a flasher, you would never know they were there. They bite so lite. Well at least the day was beautiful. [signature]

Most of the pressure has been centered around the easy access points. I fished there yesterday and walked out from the Marina and didn't stop until I was comfortable that I was in an area that had not been pressured. It took a while but I think the results paid off. !2 fish in three hours including the hike. All fish were in the slot, I still haven't found the big boys this winter. The quality of the ice has dramatically improved over the past ten days and I don't think you would have any problem taking machine to locations around the lake. As always use caution and good judgement. I was by myself and didn't have any "backup" so the wheeler stayed in the shed.
