Don't feel like you are missing a lot....reading that Island Park was the hot spot. I thought I would give it a try this fine morning and afternoon (Sat.). After about 5 hours and only 1 fish and a couple of bites we called it a day. [:/] But as the saying goes "A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work". [Smile]

Well i guess i dont feel like i missed alot at least at island park. For me its not so much about missing out as it is about being out. I just love to be out. Catching fish is just one of the beautiful bonuses of being out. So what about everyone else, How was your weekend fishing?

I did get out to AF sportsman's park Saturday It was a little slow for me. 5 med. perch but there were a couple of guys that had a good spot they were catching one nice perch after another for about three hours. They left at dark so I didn't get to steal their spot. Maybe next week

Magic was slow for my buddy Rob and I. Although Rob out-fished me at least two to one, maybe more. Neither of us ever even got a bite we thought was a trout. The perch were biting light at first and it got worse as the day went on. Still, I made it home with about 10 or 12 8"-10" perch. Since the fishing was slow, I took some time out to really test the fish finder I borrowed from a friend. Using the side finder and pacing off the distance, we pinpointed some fish and drilled a hole. Once we got in the right spot, it was fish after fish for about 10 minutes, then they were gone. I need to work with it some more, but I can see a lot of promise.[Smile]
