Decided to try one last jump shoot today to mourn the passing of the season...not too eventful. Got 2 mallards....that's about it for real ducks. Not the best jump shoot I've had, but heck, it sure was nice to be out. Looks like I'll have to start dreamin' for next season.

I know the feeling. I really hate putting the old shotgun away. I ventured up to southwest Idaho for a little quail hunting. Those little birds can sure humble a shooter in a hurry. Probably saw about 600 birds. The dogs had a blast. This could become a regular habit. gshorthair

We need to get together for some huntin' next season. I'm gonna head out to Vernal in the next couple of weeks to check out a dog. I'll keep you posted on what I get.
