Macon, Missouri - Ardent, the industry leader in manufacturing fishing reels and accessories Made in the USA, has announced the release of the F500 Flippin' and Pitchin' Reel, the industry's first technique-specific reel.
"We are proud to introduce the F500 as one of the premier reels on the market today," said Michael J. Brooks, President and CEO of Ardent. "It provides the type of first-class performance, under any condition, that people have come to expect from Ardent, and we will continue to deliver that quality to our customers."
Along with a decreased friction design and the strongest, tightest drag system ever developed for a bass fishing reel, the F500 re-spools perfectly after every cast due to its precision engineering. The aluminum frame and stainless steel handle make it a perfect counterforce to win the battle against any lunker bass since the F500 can withstand more stress, force and pressure than standard reels that flip and pitch. Other features include five stainless steel ball bearings, a stainless steel anti-reverse clutch bearing and a 6.3:1 helical gear ratio.
The F500 was designed, developed and tested by some of the biggest names in the fishing industry, such as Alton Jones, winner of the 2008 Bassmaster Classic Tournament, and B.A.S.S. Elite Pros Denny Brauer and Pete Ponds.
"This reel is the finest flipping and pitching reel I have ever used," said Brauer, renowned on the B.A.S.S. tour for his own flipping and pitching technique. "It is designed to decrease friction, making casting much more accurate, and it has the Permalock drag system, which has the strongest drag in the industry."
The F500 Flippin' and Pitchin' Reel, like all Ardent reels, is backed by an industry-leading three-year warranty.
