Went to Pineview to chase the elusive musky. Got there at 6:45 a.m., drove as far down the port boat ramp and unloaded the gear.
When we got to he ice we were greeted with a surprising 1-1.5 inches of standing water on the ice and rainy weather.
We fished all over the lake from the boat ramps, to cemetary point to the northern point, from 25 ft to 45 ft of water.
Only landed three perch about 9 inches each and didn't see any musky on the radar.
When we left at noon there was from 2.5-3 inches of standing water on the ice. We would drill holes and they would look like toilets, with a high volume of water draining through them. I have never seen anything like it.
My advice - give Pineview a few days to refreeze if you want to stay dry and have a good time. My feet were drenched and frozen!!
