Left Ogden at 4:30am didn't arrive until a little after 7:00am due to slick roads. Temperature was a nice 31* with partly cloudy skies upon arrival.
RAK and myself made the .66 of a mile walk over to the area we like to fish just off the camp grounds and dropped our lines sometime around 8:00am.
Drilled our holes in 26' of water and started getting bites right from the start. The bite was non stop for the next 2.5 hours after that we where waiting for a half hour in between hits. Ended up icing 15 for the day with a pair of 22inchers in the mix.
About 11:00am the wind started to blow and it started raining. We started packing our gear around 3:00pm by the time we where loaded and ready to make the walk back we could no longer see any shore line, the strawberry marina or any other fisherman. Kind of a spooky feeling. Thank god I had my hand held GPS that pointed us in the right direction. When the clouds move in thick and visibility is only a couple hundred feet you lose sense of direction. It was a good feeling after walking 20 minutes and we could see a faint image of the lodge.
