Deer Creek 1/29
#1
Fished Deer Creek today with fair success. All the fish we iced were around 12 inches. Most were caught about 12 to 15 feet below the ice in water as deep as 40 feet. We were mid lake off of the island. Groups of fish came through about every 20 minutes. Still good fishing at noon.
Ice conditions were good. About 8 inches of ice with 3 inches of snow on top. No slush. Shore access on to the lake was ok. Best to stay on old tracks to get out on to the ice.
The open water near the main ramp is only about half as big as it was last week. Don't think you could get a boat out in to it.
