I am hearing that the stimulus package given this past year will be taken out of any return or needs to be paid with taxes filed. Does anyone know if this is true? Basically stating the stimulus was a loan from the government needing to be repaid with this years tax return.

not true. I filed my taxes this past weekend and the software (freeware) I was using "checked" to see if you received your stimulus payment and if you didn't they would "add" it on to your refund (if you were going to received a refund). Don't know where you heard that, but its false. The stimulus amount was non-taxable.

Heard it from the guy that did my taxes last year. I fired him after hearing the "good" news from many different sources.
