NEW YORK, New York -VERSUS Country will premiere the second season of City Limits Fishing with Mike Iaconelli on Friday, February 6, at 9 p.m. ET. The six-part weekly series is produced and developed by Executive Producer, Lauren Ashburn of USA TODAY LIVE, which is the television arm of the USA TODAY brand. The series follows host and professional angler Mike "Ike" Iaconelli to six U.S. cities where he proves to viewers that urban fishing is not only possible, but extremely plentiful.
In each episode of City Limits, Iaconelli-the 2006 Bass Angler of the Year-attempts to catch a limit of fish entirely within the boundaries of some of the country's largest cities. The show models tournament style fishing, putting the host and his first mate under pressure to find and catch the most fish they can in a limited amount of time. Unfamiliar territories and nasty conditions present numerous challenges on the water, but that doesn't stop Iaconelli in his pursuit.
The complete schedule for City Limits Fishing with Mike Iaconelli follows (subject to change):
Nashville
(Feb. 6 at 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. ET)
Mike Iaconelli and police officer Shane Petty fish the Cumberland River in Nashville for largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass. Temperatures drop into the thirties and fishing is tough, but they discover a pattern that allows them to pinpoint the fish with amazing results.
Seattle
(Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. ET and 12 p.m. ET)
Mike Iaconelli and Keith Robbins attempt to catch a limit of bass in freshwater and a limit of salmon in saltwater in the second episode. It is another cold day on the water and massive storms move into Seattle which makes fishing difficult, but the two anglers fight to the bitter end to catch their limit.
Little Rock
(Feb. 20 at 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. ET)
Not far from the site of this year's Bassmasters Classic competition, Iaconelli and environmental attorney John Peiserich race the clock to catch a limit of bass on the Arkansas River. The day proves extremely troublesome as the duo endures boat problems, cold conditions and a rain storm.
Detroit
(March 6 at 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. ET)
Iaconelli and Michigan bass angler Scott Moody fish the St. Clair River which is one of the best smallmouth fisheries in the country. The fishing is red-hot as they try to catch the largest amount of smallmouth bass ever on City Limits Fishing.
Miami
(March 13 at 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. ET)
Iaconelli and Ken Collette travel to Miami to attempt to catch six different species of fish. The men catch a world-class fish that is not in the slam causing them to lose valuable time and then disaster strikes when they spot a dozen six-foot sharks with just an hour left in the day.
Los Angeles
(March 20 at 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. ET)
The City of Angels welcomes Iaconelli and Ben Florentino as they fish for calico bass in sunny southern California but a late-summer cold front brings low temperatures and fog into the area making for a very challenging day on the water.
