East Canyon

Has anybody fished East Canyon lately? If so how was the fishing and what are the ice conditions?

I am thinking about going there Saturday.

If East Canyon is not good where would you suggest?

I was there on Wednesday. The ice was in great shape 11" in the two different spots I tried. When I left at 2 pm there was some water on the ice at the edges but the edges where still solid. I caught and released 10 rainbows 9" - 15 " and one 17" tiger trout. My brother caught 2 14" rainbows. We did the best on the south end towards the inlet by the resort in 40' of water. I had bites and caught fish at all depths from 3' on down to the bottom. I caught them on Swedish pimples tipped with a nightcrawler, teardrop tipped with crawler, gizzybug tipped with waxie, but the prefered by the fish was a pale green rat finkie tipped with a waxie.
