[#ff0000]Took the rowboat and the family over to Wellsville city pond Wednesday evening, to far to drive to the Gorge for a picnic.... They dump a bunch of fish in it in the fall then close it to fishing until Memorial Day weekend. It's always an ant pile of monofilament when they open it up but a nice little out of the way park for the kids, base ball diamonds, covered picnic tables, and some shade for the wife. The meat and lead folks were catching fish pretty consistently. We were using daredevils and for about fifteen minutes about an hour before sundown you couldn't keep those little high jumping hatchery bows off of your line. I was surprised how mossed up it was already. It doesn't usually get that bad until later in the summer. It's certainly not a serious fisherman's paradise, but a fun place to spend an evening picnicing with the family. [/#ff0000]
