Oops, there goes my state record
#1
So last fall, wiperjunkie and I were fishing at Schofield and I managed to catch a very nice tiger trout. The fish was 25 1/2" and 5 1/2 pounds. We took a few pictures and released the fish. Well, earlier this week I got a call from wiperjunkie who said he had just been looking at the catch and release records.....................the current cr record for tiger trout is 25". Oh well here is a pic of my almost state record [pirate]

Sorry about the bad news. At least you have the picture to back up your story. I guess you will just have to get after him again this year.

I've seen 2 this week that people have done the same thing here in Utah- one certainly would have probably been a world record.

I just checked the DWR website and the current C&R record is 25".............I would have beaten that by 1/2"[Smile]

I don't think it will stand too long, those tigers grow way too fast, and with the new regs at Schofield they will have a chance to get a little bigger.
