Otter Creek
#1
If anyone is willing to divulge....when does Otter Creek usually come ice free? It seems to me the beginning of March. Is that true?

Middle of March is about right. Ice is still 12 to 14" . Edges are getting a little soft. Was down there today, beautiful sunny day. Fishing a little slow but still managed our limits (two of us). No monsters all were between 1 1/2 and 2 lbs. Fished in 24 feet, fish were all caught at around 10 feet, using a Vexilar. Drove home past Piute, its about 30% ice off. A few people bank fishing.

The section of stream above the reservoir on public land can also be good that time of year--depending on snow/run off conditions. Give it a try even if HB187 passes![Tongue]
