Porcupine's still slow
#1
[#ff0000]Went to Porcupine Monday with p4life, finally got in the water a bit after ten, had one strike and one trout all day. I thought I saw my game warden neighbor pulling out a little after we got in and talked to him a bit this evening after work. They didn't have much luck either and saw very little on the finder. He was worried about the Kokes as he found a beaver that had dammed up the stream last spawning season and notified DWR. He said they didn't care and didn't do anything about it so he went up and busted it up sometime in September, but was probably to late. He was afraid that it might have really messed up the spawn. He hoped that it might improve later in the season with a little warmer weather when they start to school up a bit. I couldn't believe how slow it was. I think I'll go play in some other ponds for the next while and try back mid July or so. Sounds like Newton and Willard are waking up. [/#ff0000]
