Arrived just after eight. Drove around to the west side. Two guys were coming off just as we arrived, and said they had a couple of bites, but hadn't caught anything and they were heading over to the east side. Wished them well and headed to the ice.

Got our holes drilled in 6 feet of water and started marking fish. Caught a couple, and then moved out to 10 feet of water where my buddy caught a chunky 19" bow. Caught a couple more fish and moved back in to 9 feet of water, then move to five feet of water and had the best fishing of the day. My buddy broke off setting the hook. Few minutes later he caught a nice 18" cutt that had his hook from the previous breakoff. It also had a real bright yellow patch on it's belly. Kind of strange. Took a pic.

Slow, but nice day. Left at 3:30.

Weather: windy at times, but not bad.
Area: West side in 5-10 feet of water
Ice: Excellent. 8 inched of crusted snow on 24 inches of ice.
Setup:White glow jighead tipped with crawler (7 fish)
Yellow glow jighead tipped with wax worms(9 fish)
Caught/iced: 7 tigers, 4 cutts, 5 bows
Crowd: None. One other guy on the west side with three little kids. Few people on the east side.
