Replacing burnt bulb…

That is why ya bring two.
The one I’ve been using has made 7 all night trips….`still going.

The rubber the bulb connects / screws into doesn’t fit all the way into the pipe so ya just get a razor & gently cut the silicone around the base of the bulb & unscrew it, get a new bulb & screw it in & re silicone it.
12 volt bulb…[crazy]…

[Smile] Aloha [Wink]

Dan
Stand Up !!!

Stand Up Fish`N Charters Kauai Hawai
[Wink]

Hey Dan, I got one of these on the K-IX. I didn't make it myself but I could swear that the pipe is filled with sand or lead or something. It's pretty heavy. Is just the pipe heavy enough to counter act the buoyancy of the bulb and the air in the pipe?

Capt. Jeff
http://FISHinKONA.com

Yea, I even half filled mine with silicone to keep the connection dry.

I thought about that when it was told to me how to make it & they said, `no worry’s.
The pipe is plenty heavy enough.

If ya have time, it’s not a bad idea ta make a second for breakage or burnout. You can put a higher watt bulb in it to if ya like for bright nights.

It works pretty good huh..?

I sure wish we had your calm water to drift over…

Aloha

Dan
Stand Up!!!

Stand Up Fish`N Charters Kauai Hawai
[Wink]
