A little So Cal notice. The latest MILPA Maps show the closure of the Newport Bay, all of Laguna Beach and Dana Point Harbor. From all fishing. Shore fishing, Tube Fishing, Boat fishing .Dock fishing, Pier fishing. You get my drift? The Government wants to take away my fishing. This is not about catch and release but a total ban on fishing. I'm writing my Congressperson Lorretta Sanchez. I'm not voting for her or any Demacrat if she allows this to happen. I will pack up, move out of California, and take my business with me. I urge you to write or call. Take a moment to speak your mind. Or eventually this board will have nothing to write about. Oh ya... I went out last night with my son for an evening fishing trip on the bay. We caught Thirty Calico, Sand, and Spotted bass on the falling tide. My boy also nailed his first Halibut. We ate a nice dinner at Bitchin' Kitchen for about $15.00 and had a few beers at the Pier. If it wasn't for fishing, none of this would have happened. Imagine a world with no fishing...

DUDE! What the heck is going on with our Government! We did win our battle for our rivers but this shouldn't be a political deal. Shouldn't we be more worried about our economy? I am so tired of this "You Can't crap"
Not sure the Republicans would make a difference, but totally not impressed with this DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY.

Get a petition going if you have the time and send that to ALL the crooked politicians you can. Government is SUPPOSED to be BY AND FOR the people, NOT against them (their desires/needs)!! It IS TIME we, THE PEOPLE, take BACK this country (and States) and regulate/govern by MAJORITY RULE and not MINORITY and Special Interest Groups (read: KICKBACKS to those previously mentioned crooked politicians). Just MY opinion!

So what is at the root of this closure? Someone want to just protect the fishies from us mean fishermen or is it something else? We all know there will be more of this if we don't speak up.

Thanks for noticing PETA in action under the guise of the California Socialist and Anti-fishermen Party.. Did I say PETA? Its a secret... It's called MILPA or the Marine Life Protection Act. Protecting fish from us evil fishermen. Thank God we don't have guns...'cause we're fishermen. Do you think they might want to take away guns from the hunters next? Huh?
