Green River Report 3/14 - 3/15
#1
It was a beautiful weekend on the Green! There was lots of sun and just a little "W". It was a little chilly early, but no numb fingers and it was in the 50s in the afternoon.

Midges were hatching constantly and I saw a couple hours of mayflies.

Spent Saturday near Little Hole, nymphing mostly. The fish were taking both the Neon Nightmare and the gray midge below. I walked quite a ways, but it seemed that I found a brown or two in every hole with a single rainbow on a "bugger" late in the day (in the shade of the canyon).

Sunday. I walked down from the dam and caught rainbows. It was a tough day until I tied on a black midge pattern below the Nightmare. Then it seemed there was a fish on every other cast. There were fish rising and sipping, but they were taking midges smaller than anything I was throwing (#24). I got a few looks, but only to be rejected. No browns on Sunday.
