Utah Lake
#1
We are heading for Utah lake friday, I cant take it any more. I need to blow the day off work. Any way does any one have any info on Saratoga Springs area ? Is there a boat lunch there? I would like to do some drift fishing for eyes. the mouth of the Jordan may or may not be a good starting point.

The launch at Saratoga Springs is private. You can go to American Fork or Pelican Bay, they're the furthest north. I'd target somewhere water is coming into the lake, AF river, Battle Creek, Provo River, etc. or Lincoln Beach or the island.

About five miles south of saratoga spring there is a public boat ramp. I can't remeber what it is called Pelican something maybe. Its new only a couple of years old. It is by far the closest public ramp to the mouth of the jordan river. I lauch from there to do all my catfishing. Good luck and let me know how you do.

That one is the Saratoga Springs marina. There's a sign on the road that identifies it. I'm not sure the name of the road but know that if you go south on Redwood Road & don't turn off you'll get there.

I think it has been summed up here, but I thought I would clarify with my 2 cents. There are 3 marinas on the west side of UL. The first one is private, and is only about 2 miles south of the Smiths. You enter it through the Saratoga Springs Community, but you need to be a member of the HOA to access it. The second is also private (yacht club) and it is a few miles further south. Then at the end of the town of Saratoga Springs, (about 9 miles south of Smiths Grocery store) is the Pelican Bay. It is public with a fee. I think about 6 or 8 dollars. I launch there often, but I have not fished the west side of the lake. I am considering it this year rather than drive across the lake. We'll see how it goes when I get there. Let us know how you do. Let me how you do if you fish the west side.
