I hit the hills with some buddys and some Plott's today and boy are the conditions rough! Windy, sunny, snowy, and waist deep crusty snow! Tough cat hunting but I love it! After a few hours of free casting the dogs I found a track about 18 hrs old. The dogs took some time workin' in on the dirt but they worked hard and got it going good and finally jumped the kitty on the shady side! The run wasn't too bad but the cover was thick and the snow was deep! The dogs put up an average female, we took some pictures and headed home! She was in such a thick area and such a dense tree it was hard to get good pics but they still look good! I also threw in some pics of a nice Tom we treed and released a few weeks back.
I love getting out and watching the dogs work hard and hopefull see a cat! We are lucky to have cats in Utah and be able to chase and hunt them, they are awesome critters!

To get that "pretty cat" picture, I climbed up the tree next to the cat and was able to take some pictures eye-level from about 5 yards! It was pretty neat to look level at it like that! haha good times!

Sweet pictures. Thanks for sharing. I loved the first one with it just peeking through the trees.

I've either got "some" or "none brains" haha, that cat didn't seem to be in a particularly bad mood, I tried to get her to open up and snarl at me and she wouldn't for quite a while, i finally threw a stick into the tree above her and she opened up a bit! Thanks for checking out my site...I guess I wasn't supposed to be posting my site with my signature[blush] Just keep it in mind if you ever hear of anybody that needs some work done!

Great cats! Some of the best pics I've ever seen. What a rush it is to be that close!
