What's a maniac minnow???

Okay okay I can't take it anymore! Everybody's using 'em. Everybody's mashing fish on 'em. I feel like I am totally out of the loop, and like I have missed out on about a thousand fish that I could have caught. What IS a maniac minnow, and where can I get 'em!? I live in Logan if that makes a difference.

Not everyone... they're local which is nice but they're a curl tail grub basically with a slim profile like a bait fish. You can use a fluke, dropshot minnow or other soft plastic and get the same effect. If you have to have the curl tail, and can't get Maniacs... there are other folks out there who make a similar setup in a "minnow" bait. I think its cool that everyone is supporting James and his baits (I've never used them but have fished with guys who have) but like anything else, they're not a cure all so you'll have to catch fish with the lures when you get them.... its not like you throw them out and they do it for you. [] A pal of mine uses his reapers (swears by em) so you might check those out too and see if you can figure out how to make em work for you.
